Social enterprises, dialogues and comparisons between people who deal with the social economy: philanthropists, academics, protagonists of industry and finance

CATANIA – From tomorrow, October 24th to Sunday 27th, Catania will host the fifth edition of Social Enterprise Open Camp (SEOC) international training event dedicated to social entrepreneurship and impact investments which brings together the most important figures in this field worldwide.

Dialogue between people dealing with social economics. Designed and promoted by Opes-lcef Foundation and from National CGM Consortiumin collaboration with Catania Island and with the support of various partners, the initiative will bring together realities dealing with the social economy, thanks to discussions with exponents of philanthropy, academics and protagonists of industry and finance through an intensive and immersive training course divided into workshops, panels, debates, round tables, keynote speeches and networking moments.

Inclusion for a fairer world. Beyond inclusion for a just economy and a healthy planet: this is the title of this new edition (which we have translated after it was uselessly disseminated in English) which aims to explore business models capable of designing new geometries and new perspectives, ‘beyond’ inclusion strictly identified in diversity, in ‘equity and inclusion (or if you prefer: diversity, equity, inclusion).

Companies capable of «daring more. That is, capable of hybridizing forms and models, forging new alliances, designing new corporate “typologies”, adopting innovative approaches to address global environmental challenges, working on financial mixing proposals to go beyond profit and make the social and environmental impact increasingly pervasive and widespread. The initiative will see the presence of over 70 speakers, 370 people registered from 40 different nationalities and with an age range between 20 and 75 years.
