The commissions charged by the Head of Government to initiate discussions around issues relating to social dialogue with the trade union centers are working to reach an agreement which will be announced soon, said Thursday in Rabat, the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas.
The April round of social dialogue was an opportunity to examine various issues, namely pension reform, wage increases, as well as the organic law relating to the right to strike, said Mr. Baitas in response to a question during a press briefing following the Governing Council.
The minister recalled, in this regard, that the government has maintained the institutionalization of social dialogue, with the organization of two rounds, one in September and another in April.
The new round of social dialogue was launched on March 26 with a meeting between the Head of Government and a delegation from the Moroccan Labor Union, followed by a meeting with a delegation from the General Union of Workers of Morocco and the Democratic Confederation of Labor, in addition to a delegation from the General Confederation of Moroccan Businesses.
