In a statement it was reported that the legal director of the agency, Rubén García, met with the members of the Building Commission for Social Development, which is made up of councilors Pedro Alberto Matus Peña, Vanessa Mora de la O and Joob Quintín Flores Silva , to whom he announced what will be done to help the population in the cold season.

He reported that the Directorate of Social Development has submitted a request for 12 million pesos to acquire 44 thousand blankets for the winter season and currently the Mayor’s Office is already making the necessary arrangements for the purchases.

He explained that they are standard blankets, which are the ones given in the shelters and it is planned that they will be available on December 15 and thus be able to make tours in the city and deliver them to those who need it most.

He commented that the only requirement to donate them is the voter ID, in addition, they seek to give two blankets per house so that the benefit is better.

The quality of the covers will also be sought to be better so that protection from the cold is adequate, he said.

He added that they are also contemplating acquiring 60 thousand Christmas bowls, which although it may be a very large amount, the Municipality already has several requests from neighborhood associations or groups that are requesting this support for the December holidays.
