The southern Lower Saxony clubs trumped on the second day of the football state league almost consistently. Göttingen 05 even took the lead in the standings.

Eintracht Northeim/Bovender SV

The relief at Eintracht Northeim after the 2-0 (1-0) win over Bovender SV was palpable. Raphael Peinemann (43rd) and Dustin Hoffmann (68th) had made the win against the promoted team perfect. “After a long time we kept a clean sheet and won our first home game,” said Eintracht coach Philipp Weißenborn after the first win.

The first three of the season was really not as safe as the result suggests. Bovenden’s attacker Sven Iloge had the chance to take the lead early on. And in the second half, Iloge, Jannes Metje and Robert Merfert only hit the aluminum of the Eintracht goal. That’s called bad luck, but that doesn’t include BSV’s numerous ball losses in the offensive movement. More consistent teams than Eintracht Northeim use something like this mercilessly.

On Friday (7 p.m.) the next southern Lower Saxony duel for the Northeim will rise. Then Eintracht is required at SVG Göttingen. “If the distance to the opponent is less than 30 kilometers, a game can be scheduled on Friday or Saturday. You don’t need your opponent’s approval, but of course you discuss it beforehand and ask. For example, we also play on a Friday evening in Lengede, so we have a free weekend,” says SVG chairman Thorsten Tunkel, who is also the relay manager of the state league. “We have to equalize the matchdays. We want to avoid referees in the state league refereeing games without assistants. That’s what threatens us. We still have too few referees in the district.”

Göttingen 05

The 05ers are already in a good mood at the beginning of the season! The 8:1 against newcomer Helmstedt could have been double digits. Nice for coach Jozo Brinkwerth: With new signing Chandra, Andi Morina, the Wenzel brothers Jonah and Jannis and Florian Kleinke, he still has numerous players up his sleeve who will also push for a starting eleven. Competition stimulates (05) business!

TSV Landolfshausen/S.

The joy of the first win of the season was actually clouded before that. In the cup match against SVG last Wednesday, Nico Diederich tore his cruciate ligament and damaged his meniscus. This was revealed by an MRI scan the following day. TSV trainer Florian Jünemann: “Nico will probably be out until the end of the season.”

SSV Norten

First home game, first win. After that, it didn’t really look good for SSV Nörten against promoted TSV Hillerse in the early stages. The home premiere for goalkeeper Aron Döhne, who conceded two goals completely powerless, had a particularly bitter start. The fact that a 6:2 victory was recorded at the final whistle was also thanks to him. “Aron held up very well today,” SSV coach Oliver Gremmes praised his goalkeeper. Just in the period when the Nörtener forced the turnaround, the guests came up with some dangerous goal actions. But the keeper, who had returned from Lenglern at the beginning of the season, could no longer be defeated by the Hillersers. With the saved penalty, Döhne completely strengthened his eleven. That should be an incentive for the whole team in the next two English weeks – on Wednesday (7:30 p.m.) we’re up against Oberliga side Lupo Martini Wolfsburg in the NFV Cup.

SVG Göttingen

SVG trainer Esmir Muratovic was extremely proud of his team after the 3:1 victory in Wahrenholz. “A manager from Wahrenholz told me that he would not have been surprised if we had won 12:1,” said Muratovic. If there was anything to criticize, it’s once again the many missed goalscoring opportunities. With a view to the southern Lower Saxony derby on Friday against Eintracht Northeim, the SVG coach is not worried, especially since Dennis Forkpah will be available as another option for the attack for the first time after the red suspension has expired. osx/raw/wg-gsd/haz-gsd
