Kath has played 25 Bundesliga games for SC Freiburg so far and scored one goal. Kath played his last competitive game for coach Christian Streich’s team in April 2018. Since then, he has been thrown back from injuries again and again. The offensive player was already on loan to 1. FC Magdeburg in the 2016/17 season, played there in 19 third division games and scored three goals. Then he made the leap to the Freiburg professionals before a two-year period of suffering thwarted him. For a long time there had been speculation about a move from Balinger to the second division club Karlsruher SC, but it apparently fell apart because the KSC should not have the financial resources. Kath enjoyed his football training with regional division TSG Balingen and moved to Breisgau in the summer of 2013. Now he should help to fix Magdeburg’s weak offensive. In the first three games of the season, the third division bottom managed just one goal.
