The Messins in selection
Eight Messins were called up for the flag during the international break. Here is the report of the latter.
➤ Algeria. The Fennecs played two games against Nigeria (victory 1-0) at Wörthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt (Austria) and against Mexico (2-2) at Cars Jeans Stadion in The Hague (Netherlands). The goalkeeper of FC Metz Alexander Oukidja and the middle of Metz Farid Boulaya started from the first game they played in their entirety. They were, however, exempt from the second.
➤ Ivory Coast. After playing fifteen minutes in the confrontation against Belgium (1-1) at the King-Baudouin stadium in Brussels, Habib Maïga started the game against Japan (1-0 loss) at Stadion Galgenwaard in Utrecht (Netherlands).
➤ Mali. Holder during the victory (3-0) against Ghana on the lawn of Antalya Staduymu (Turkey), Mamadou Fofana was then tested positive for Covid-19. The second meeting scheduled for Tuesday against Iran has also been canceled due to the large number of cases noted within the Malian selection. Kiki Kouyatéhe was finally spared. But he did not take part in the first meeting.
➤ Senegal. Grandpa Nguette played the last five minutes of the scheduled meeting at the Moulay-Abdallah Sports Complex in Rabat against Morocco (3-1 loss). The second friendly match, scheduled for Tuesday against Mauritania, has been canceled.
➤ Tunisia. The central defender in Metz, Dylan Bronn, was established in the two matches played by the Tunisian selection which ended in a success against Sudan (3-0) at the Hamadi-Agrebi stadium in Tunis and a draw (1-1) against Nigeria (1-1 ) in Austria.
➤ France U18. Retained within the French selection for an internship, the young defender Metz Lenny Lacroix did not take part in the friendly match played against Valenciennes (L2, defeat 3-0).
