Soccer – Freiburg im Breisgau – Freiburg wins against Rayo Vallecano and Rennes – Sport

Freiburg (dpa) – SC Freiburg ended its season opening in the Europa-Park stadium with two wins. After a 3-0 (2-0) win over Spanish first division team Rayo Vallecano, the Europa League starter defeated French first division team Stade Rennes 1-0 (0-0) on Saturday in front of 13,100 spectators. Newcomer Michael Gregoritsch scored the goal in the 72nd minute. It was the first goal for the Austrian, who had come from FC Augsburg.

In the first game of the double test, Hugo Siquet (17th) scored Freiburg’s first goal against Vallecano. The Belgian then set up goals from Nils Petersen (43′) and Kimberly Ezekwem (55′).

The dress rehearsal before the first round match in the DFB Cup at 1. FC Kaiserslautern on July 31st, the Freiburgers will play next Saturday in Colmar against Racing Straßburg.
