The 1-1 draw in SC Freiburg’s first home game this season against VfL Wolfsburg was seen by 3,200 spectators. “I had goose bumps. At first I saw the 3,000 viewers as usual the 24,000,” said the 31-year-old on “t-online.de” (Sunday). He doesn’t expect the Bundesliga to be playing in full stadiums again anytime soon. “Definitely not in the first half of the season. It would even surprise me until the end of the season,” said Petersen. Petersen had worried about his sport during the coronavirus break. He personally got through the standstill time well, said the striker. “I was more afraid of what would happen in football because it is our calling.” When things started again, there was “initially anxiety”, “because we knew that many were suffering. Many other professions and livelihoods were at stake at the time.” – – .
