Freiburg (AP) – Bundesliga club SC Freiburg has signed striker Ermedin Demirovic. The Breisgauer announced on Tuesday. The 22-year-old Bosnian played in the U17 and U19 for RB Leipzig, then finally moved to Deportivo Alaves on a free transfer. Demirovic was last loaned from the Spanish first division club to FC St. Gallen in Switzerland, where he has scored 13 goals in 26 games so far. The Super League season ends next Monday.
“He has all the attributes of a striker and brings a lot of energy and hunger to the pitch. This will give him every opportunity to take the next step with us,” said Freiburg sports director Klemens Hartenbach about the commitment of the native of Hamburg.
