Freiburg (dpa) – Despite the Corona crisis, SC Freiburg generated a surplus of 95,418 euros for the past financial year. The Baden Bundesliga soccer team announced this on Saturday. “With a multitude of measures and joint efforts, we were able to achieve a balanced annual result and so far have led the club through this difficult time”, said CFO Oliver Leki. The total turnover generated in the 2019/2020 financial year is 89.2 million euros, 6.9 million euros below the previous year (96.1 million euros).

The club announced that revenues in the ticketing sector were reduced by 24 percent. He was able to keep his sponsorship income compared to the previous year’s level. The number of members has even grown by around 27 percent. As of June 30, the association had 24,422 members, and the 25,000 mark has now been exceeded.
