Frankfurt/Main (dpa) – At Eintracht Frankfurt, goalkeeper Kevin Trapp and winger Filip Kostic returned to the starting XI in the Bundesliga game on Friday evening (8:30 p.m. / DAZN) against Arminia Bielefeld. The two regular players recently had to take a break due to a corona infection. Coach Oliver Glasner didn’t want to commit to whether attacker Kostic could play through before kick-off.
“Actually, I don’t think so, but the players have often taught me better,” said the Eintracht coach on broadcaster DAZN: “Now let’s see how long the forces last today.” Glasner made another change on the defensive: Austrian Martin Hinteregger came on as defense chief for Makoto Hasebe.
Bielefeld midfielder Gonzalo Castro is still waiting for his starting XI debut after his move to Arminia. The ex-Stuttgarter, like striker Fabian Klos, who was eligible to play again after a suspension, initially had to sit on the substitutes’ bench. Castro still has to work on his physical level over a long period, explained trainer Frank Kramer, but he is on the right track. “The deployment times are getting longer, so he will also get the necessary competitive toughness.”
The Arminia coach made only one change after the 2-2 win against Fürth: he ordered Jani Serra into the top striker for Bryan Lasme.
