Bremen (dpa / lni) – The DFB Cup game of the fifth division club Bremer SV against the German champions FC Bayern Munich will be played on Friday evening, August 6, and will be broadcast live on free TV at Sport1. The German Football Association (DFB) announced this on Monday when all first-round games were scheduled precisely. The kick-off is at 8.45 p.m. and the game is played in Bremen’s Weser Stadium.

“Last week we checked all available stadiums in Bremen and the surrounding area and obtained appropriate offers,” said the 2nd chairman of Bremer SV, Alfons van Werde. “In the end, the Weserstadion will enable us, with the same incidence figures and corresponding political decisions, that as many BSV supporters and Bayern fans as possible and millions of viewers can watch the cup highlight live in front of the television.”

Werder Bremen will play the north duel at VfL Osnabrück on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. At the same time, the second division rival Hannover 96 is playing for the regional division Eintracht Norderstedt. The games SV Meppen against Hertha BSC (3.30 p.m.) and Eintracht Braunschweig against Hamburger SV (6.30 p.m.) will take place on Sunday, August 8th.
