We have just learned of the death of Christopher Maboulou, at the age of only 30 years. The former ASNL striker lost his life during a football match disputed with friends in his district of Montfermeil, visibly the victim of cardiac arrest.
Heart problems detected at him in 2011, at the very beginning of his professional career with the Berrichonne de Châteauroux. Poor Christopher Maboulou had also had to temporarily hang up his crampons for two years, before having the medical green light to resume his career. A few months later, in 2014 with Bastia, the Congolese celebrated his first match in L1 with a double against OM.

Memories of Ajaccio
Christopher Maboulou arrived in Nancy in 2018, after a difficult adventure in the Greek championship, at the request of the then coach Didier Tholot who knew him well after having trained him in Châteauroux and Bastia. Maboulou only played ten matches with ASNL in L2 but he will be remembered for having scored the first Nancy goal of this season, long awaited at the end of the 8e day.
