Red Bull New York under Salzburg coach Gerhard Struber won the city derby against New York City FC in the North American football league MLS on Saturday.
The RB team, with Daniel Royer from the 86th minute, won 1-0 at Yankee Stadium thanks to a goal by Omir Fernandez (43rd). Man-of-the-match was Red Bull goalkeeper Carlos Coronel, who secured victory with many good saves.
In the fight for the play-off entry, Struber and Co. are still in the race, but RBNY is already seven points behind CF Montreal, which occupies the seventh and last promotion place in the Eastern Conference.
