Phillipe Schuth , originally from Merlebach, was goalkeeper in Merlebach, Strasbourg, Angers, Dunkirk, Metz, Lorient, Toulouse, Gueugnon and Nancy. He died tragically of a car accident at the age of 35, in 2002. To pay tribute to him, former players from FC Metz, AS Nancy-Lorraine and SO Merlebach played a match called ”Match des Légendes ‘ at the Phillippe-Schuth stadium in Freyming-Merlebach on Saturday evening. The opportunity to see the former partners of the goalkeeper who disappeared too soon. Starting with Didier Lang, the former Messin wearing the captain’s armband.
