‘Home’: Very driven
–
What a beautiful family photo! The former ‘Thuis’ actress Clara Cleymans, together with her daughter Jeanne and mother Karin Jacobs, visited the Studio 100 production ’40-454, in which her brother and ‘Thuis’ actor Jelle still performs very passionately and she herself also has a time played a part. The emotions reportedly got a bit too intense during the scene with the burning plane, but luckily, all’s well that ends well.

‘Family’ actress Bab Buelens (Emma) is already in the holiday mood because she went from dark to a lighter hair color. “Once again opted for blonde”, she says at the start of the summer. Husband Vincent Banic, Guido in ‘Family’, immediately called her ‘my beautiful wife’, but other followers also like the new cut and throw hearts and compliments such as “Even prettier” and “You stand with everything, beauty”.

‘Family’: Spectacular
–
VTM has released images that reveal what went on behind the scenes on the set of the season finale of ‘Family’. This behind the scenes footage shows Sieg Den Doncker (Koen) and Kürt Rogiers (Lars) being tied up with steel security wires by a security team when they stood on the roof of a building to shoot a fight scene. That way they certainly couldn’t lose weight. The wires were of course nicely tucked away for the viewer.

There are also images of the key scene where Veronique ended up in the water with her car after an exciting chase. Afterwards, a giant crane was even called in to hoist her car out of the water. Some car freaks did notice that, according to them, Veronique had got in a BMW é91 but drove into the water with another model, namely a BMW é46.

‘Home’: The most popular
–
Every year, the fan site ThuisOnline organizes an online poll at the end of the soap season to find out which actors are most liked by the viewers. About 2,500 fans cast their votes this year. Mathias Vergels (Lowie) was the most popular among the men in recent editions, but this time he has to give way to newcomer Bram Spooren (Ilias). Among the actresses, Leah Thys (Marianne) wins ahead of Lauren Müller (Thilly) and Kadèr Gürbüz (Karin). In the previous election, Chief Inspector Tim (Jeroen Lenaerts) & Sam (An Vanderstighelen) were the most popular couple. That duo now has to make way for Tamara (Tine Priem) and Bob (Christophe Haddad) as the new number 1. The fact that those two provided a lot of romance with their wedding last season may have played a role. For the first time, there was also a vote for the greatest villain of all time in ‘Home’. That title went to the psychopathic serial killer Jacques (Peter Van de Velde), who was shot dead by Tim at the start of last season. The character precedes two other villains: bad guy Chris (Danny Timmermans) and bad girl Julia (Myriam Bronzwaar), who also have a few naughtiness and even deaths on their conscience.

‘Home’ and ‘Family’: Funny and cheerful
–
‘Home’ actor Yemi Oduwale (Dries) and ‘Family’ face Charlotte Sieben (Louise) have an exciting holiday job this summer, because the two soap faces make radio on MNM during the summer break in the TV studio. They alternately present, together with other voices, the morning show with Wanne Synnave. Not such a big step for Charlotte, because she studied radio journalism and previously did an internship behind the scenes at the station of the public broadcaster. When she was recently a guest of MNM DJ Kawtar Ehlalouch, she went all out when testing a face mask, even though the listeners at home couldn’t see how happy things were in the studio. These funny pictures show that.

‘Home’: Busy afternoon
–
Some fans noticed a small mistake in the final week of ‘Thuis’. Viv, Lynn Van den Broeck’s character, first said in a scene that she had no more time because she had planned a few home visits that afternoon. Apparently Viv’s afternoons are sometimes very long, because immediately afterwards she checked her mobile and it was shown that it was 9:08 PM.

‘Neighbours’: Displeased
–
A riot has arisen in Australia after the presentation of the Logies, a kind of TV Oscars. ‘Neighbours’, which ends next month after 37 seasons, received no accolades. The cast was displeased because they were not allowed on stage during the live show and were in a lost corner in the hall, where they had barely a view of the stage. Competitor ‘Home and Away’ was also named best soap. The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards apparently also found the spectacle shameful and already announced that their award show in January 2023 will pay attention to the iconic series. The final and 8,902nd episode of ‘Neighbours’ will air on August 1. VTM2 was only ready for episode 8,500 last week.

The bikini photo that ‘Family’ actress Martine Jonckheere (65) posted on her Instagram last week, had some attention. Her account initially had fewer than 300 followers, but since that post, that number has grown to more than 2,100. That’s a sevenfold increase!

‘Home’: East West
–
‘Home’ actress Lynn Van den Broeck (Viv) will be on stage this summer with her soap colleague Bart Van Avermaet (Waldek) in the Fakkeltheater with the comedy ‘East west home best’. So she can’t go on holiday yet: that is something for later. After the series of performances, she and some colleagues and viewers will travel to Corfu in Greece in September for the annual ‘Home’ fan trip.
