Many users of the Apple Watch, or indeed almost any other smartwatch, agree that they would like to have a camera on their smartwatch. The reason? To take photos or record videos. Well, it seems that this wish has come true thanks to a product called Wristcam that brings two cameras with which you can take photos, record videos and even make video calls; yes, video calls from the comfort, or not, of our wrists.

According to the portal The Verge, and after four years of long development, the Wristcam project is already a reality and now we can take photos, record and make video calls using an Apple Watch.
The device itself is a smart strap that integrates two cameras: a rear, to call it somehow, 8 megapixels and that allows you to take 4K photos and record videos in FullHD resolution and a front camera, to call it a way, 2 megapixels designed for video calls.
The strap comes in up to eight colors (noir, gray, blanc, rose, sage, henna, twilight and grape crush) and thus seeks to be a product that can be combined with the type of clothing that the user wears on different occasions.
Without a doubt, the Wristcam is a very interesting product, but we must say that it is not the first time that we have seen a similar product for smartwatches; Furthermore, in 2013, Samsung launched its Galaxy Gear smartwatch, with a design very similar to the Wristcam, and with a 1.9 megapixel “rear” camera.
Although this time everything was an integrated product and it was not a smart strap that could be interchanged.
What do I need to make it work and how much does it cost?
In order to use the Wristcam it is necessary to have an Apple Watch (series 3 onwards) running watchOS 6 or higher and an iPhone (iPhone 6S onwards) running iOS 13 or higher.
