Member of the DPR from the PDIP Faction Adian Napitupulù asked the president of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (MYSELF) it is not necessary to speak to the public again if you do not have a declaration accompanied by valid data.
Adian assessed that AHY’s statement that 70-80 percent of the infrastructure in President Joko Widodo’s administration was a project by the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) so that Jokowi only had ribbon scissors, which was not appropriate.

“So this becomes a problem when AHY talks. In my opinion, so that there are no more problems, AHY shouldn’t talk anymore,” Adian said on the “Political Show” program that was broadcast. CNN Indonesia TV, Wednesday (21/9) night.
Adian had previously compared three infrastructure developments during the SBY and Jokowi administrations. He started this confrontation from the construction phase started.
First, the toll road. Adian said toll roads built during the SBY era from 2005 to 2014 started from construction to ribbon cutting, totaling 189.2 kilometers.
Meanwhile, the construction of toll roads started under the SBY administration and completed during the Jokowi administration is a total of 222 kilometers, and the total length of toll roads started in the Jokowi era in 2015 to the end of 2023 is 2,290 kilometers.
Secondly, the airport. He said that by the end of 2014, SBY had completed 24 airports, most of which had been serviced by the previous president. Therefore, according to him, SBY only partially continued the airport project and just cut the ribbon.
According to him, the number of airports that Jokowi started working on but ultimately was seven airports, namely Kertajati, Tebelian, Muara Teweh, Buntu Kunik, Morowali, Miangas and Namniwel. Meanwhile, the airports built under the Jokowi era since 2015 and will be completed in 2023 total 31 airports.
Third, the dam. Adian mentioned several dams whose construction began in 2014 or a few months before the end of SBY’s mandate, such as the Teritip, Raknamo, Logung, Gondang and Pidekso dams.
According to him, SBY only had time to do the opening ceremony. In his data, a total of 39 dams were built during the Jokowi era from 2015 to 2023.
Adian hopes that the comparison data of the three infrastructures will be sufficient proof that AHY’s claim is not true. He also asked AHY to contact him if he is still not satisfied with the Indonesian government’s infrastructure data in recent years.
“If we talk without data, if the absence of data creates chaos, if then it creates an unhealthy competition between the first and those in power. What need is there to speak? I don’t think so,” Adian said.
Legal Democrats of the party, they can say anything
On the same occasion, Democratic DPP Deputy Secretary General Jansen Sitindaon found Adian’s statement asking AHY not to speak to be inappropriate. He then mentioned Adian, famous as a former Indonesian activist who also called for the presence of democracy in Indonesia.
“Adian has no rights. Adian is a democratic figure. In the past people were forbidden to talk like that, so he betrayed his DNA. But I know he made a mistake. [bicara]. So we are a legal party in Indonesia, so we can say anything, “Jansen said.
Jansen said AHY’s “ribbon scissors” statement broadcast at the National Meeting a few days ago was the aspiration of Democratic cadres who questioned the Jokowi administration’s claims regarding infrastructure.
“We have to admit that Pak Jokowi, his PR, including the buzzers, actually managed to attach the issue of Indonesia, which was only built during the Jokowi era.
Jansen said the Jokowi administration only got the ribbon scissors at the beginning of its leadership. He gave the example of the Jatigede reservoir which opened in 2015 or eight months after Jokowi was inaugurated as the number one person in Indonesia.
According to him, it makes no sense in the space of eight months to be able to complete the basin project with an area of 4,900 hectares. Jansen recalled that the Jatigede reservoir was built by the SBY administration in 2007.
Jansen then mentioned the Soekarno bridge, inaugurated by Jokowi in May 2015, then the Merah Putih bridge in Ambon in April 2016, up to the Cipali toll road in June 2015.
“Cipali’s longest toll road, Indonesia’s longest toll road, 116 KM, opened in June 2015, which means Jokowi has only been in charge for eight months. Prove you can build a road to toll so long in eight months. Start in us, so Mr. SBY is him. This means that what Mas AHY said was not wrong, “he said her.
