She lives in her apartment in Oslo with her husband and children. However, the Storting covers commuting trips for Hadia Tajik when she visits her parents in Sandnes.
Earlier this year, Aftenposten revealed that Hadia Tajik applied for commuter accommodation for herself and her now-husband, while both had their own apartments in central Oslo.
She justified the question by saying that she had settled in Sandnes and needed a commuter flat in Oslo for her own security. After having a commute home for three months in 2019, she and her husband bought a house together in Oslo.
– When my situation changed and the conditions for allocating commuter accommodation were no longer there, I of course returned the keys, he said when Aftenposten discussed the case in February.
Also, after Tajik believed he was no longer entitled to commuter accommodation in Oslo, he sent travel invoices to the Storting for travel between Oslo and Sandnes. The invoices are marked as “commuter trips”.
