FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The majority of 2024 election officials who died were due to heart disease and this is a record of the Ministry of Health.
It is known that as of Saturday (17/2) at 18.00 WIB, it was reported that 57 2024 election officials in Indonesia had died.
Head of the Communications and Public Services Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, said that the number of deaths of election officials due to heart disease was 13 people.
Followed by the second most common cause of death, Death on Arrival (in confirmation) with 11 cases.
Then, another cause of death was an accident that happened to eight 2024 election officials.
Continued due to acute respiratory distress syndrome and hypertension in five cases each. Then due to cerebrovascular disease and N/A (in confirmation) four cases each.
Furthermore, there were also two cases of Multi Organ Failure (MOF) and Septic Shock. Finally, there was one case of shortness of breath, asthma and diabetes mellitus.
Nadia explained, quoted from Jawapos.com, that most deaths occurred after voting day, namely Thursday (15/2). There were 18 election officials who died that day in Indonesia. This was followed by the most deaths on the day of voting, Wednesday (14/2), namely 17 election officials.
Meanwhile, since February 10, the deaths of two election officials have also occurred. The next day, February 11, the deaths increased to six election officials. On February 12, four people died, and on February 13 five people died.
