JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Darmawan Junaidi was appointed as the President Director Mandiri Bank in the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) today, Wednesday (21/10/2020).

He replaced Royke Tumilaar who was appointed as President Director of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI).

Citing the Bank’s official website Independent, Wednesday (21/10/2020), Darmawan previously served as Director of Treasury, International Banking, and Special Asset Management. He was appointed through the General Meeting of Shareholders in December 2019.

In this position, Darmawan is responsible for the effort loan recovery, legal, and solution provision transaction banking wholesale segment.

He has been assigned as Treasury Director since August 2017. Darmawan is arguably Mandirian. His career at Bank Mandiri is mostly in the fields treasury since the merger of Bank Mandiri in 1999. Then in 2016 he became Group Head of Bank Mandiri’s Treasury.

Darmawan has been recorded as having occupied the distribution sector. He served as regional CEO of Bali and Nusa Tenggara for Bank Mandiri in 2015.

Apart from Bank Mandiri, from 2016 to 2017 he was assigned as Finance Director of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero), Tbk. He also served as Plt. President Director of the same company for the period May-August 2017.

Then, he served as President Commissioner of PT Semen Kupang Indonesia from November 2016 to August 2017.

Performance achievements that prioritize Cost Transformation and In-organic Growth Mindset were key points during his leadership at several positions in the Semen Indonesia Group.

Darmawan is known to have completed his education in the field of Civil Law, Sriwijaya University in 1990.

He has attended several Executive Training including, Strategic Key Account Management by Marcus Evans Professional Training, Orchestrating Winning Performance by Institute Management Development (IMD), and Developing Strategy for Value Creation from the London School of Business.
