The Hyundai Stargazer has advantages that other cars in the Low MPV class don’t have, namely the captain seat. This seat model is claimed to add a premium impression and support comfort while driving.
Toyota Avanza, Mitsubishi Xpander, Suzuki Ertiga, and Nissan Livina don’t have them yet. But the captain seat has been installed on the Wuling Confero LMPV model. This seat is reportedly going to be pinned on the Stargazer.
“Captain Seat itself will be present in Hyundai’s MPV product which will soon be launched in Indonesia, the Hyundai Stargazer. This feature makes passengers more comfortable and does not feel tired on long-distance trips, very suitable for Indonesian families who like high mobility and travel long distances,” reads official statement from Hyundai Motors Indonesia.

The captain seat is a seat in the second row which is separated from the right and left. This seat model maximizes interior space to be spacious and a greater sense of open-space.
The captain seat feature is also equipped with an armrest, which makes the passenger’s hands more relaxed, as well as a seat configuration that can be adjusted forward, backward, upright, or lying down.
Passengers who will sit in the third row can have more freedom of access due to the empty space in the middle.

Indeed, one of the sacrifices is the number of passengers transported. If the LMPV Avanza-Xpander and friends can use the 2+3+3 configuration, as a consequence of using the captain seat, the passenger capacity in this variant is reduced to 7 passengers with a composition of 2+2+3.
In addition, the Hyundai Stargazer is ready to present practicality armed with the Multifunctional Storage Space concept. The concept allows passengers to feel pampered because of the plenty of storage space on all sides.
Hyundai revealed the Stargazer will have plenty of storage space that takes advantage of hidden areas. Some of them such as small trays, cup holders, extra pockets, to picnic tables.
No less important is the price leak. In the estimated calculation carried out by detikcom, the price of the Hyundai Stargazer is predicted to be sold from Rp. 228 million to the highest of Rp. 297 million. If the estimated price is not far from the original price, then obviously Stargazer will compete with Toyota Avanza, Mitsubishi Xpander, Wuling Confero S to Suzuki Ertiga.
