So Like Xpander, Here’s How the Latest Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross looks

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Mitsubishi look Eclipse Cross a new generation is finally being revealed. This medium segment SUV not only underwent design changes, but also got a new engine with Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) technology.

A Twitter account named @ nozomi99904359 briefly showed a leaked image that is suspected of being the latest Eclipse Cross.

Seeing its appearance, the biggest change to the Eclipse Cross can be seen from the fascia design which now looks like Xpander. The headlamp moves downwards, while the top lights become DRL.

From the side, the rim gets a new design. Meanwhile, in the rear, the separate glass design has now been lost and replaced with a design that can be said to be similar to the Nissan X-Trail.

As for the interior design, there is no leak yet. However, it is certain that this model will reportedly go on sale in Japan at the end of 2020.

Seiji Watanabe, Division Head Manager of Design MMC, said that this SUV will be refreshed on the exterior with a more luxurious and energetic design.

“This new design draws inspiration from the Mitsubishi e-EVOLUTION Concept, which emphasizes the strength and dynamics of the Mitsubishi Motors SUV heritage,” said Watanabe, in an official statement (17/9/2020).

“The new Eclipse Cross represents the first step towards the next generation of Mitsubishi design, and lots of other things to come,” he said.
