Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – attorney General’s Office appointed former President Director of PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk Maryono as a suspect in the alleged corruption of giving gifts or promises or gratuities that allegedly occurred at this state-owned bank. The decision was made by the Head of the Legal Information Center of the AGO, Hari Setiyono at the Attorney General’s Office, Jakarta, Tuesday (6/10/2020).
“After going through a series of examinations, in accordance with the investigation warrant, which is from August 28, 2020, the investigators named two suspects tonight, namely drs. HM (H Maryono) whose position is the former president director of PT Bank. Tabungan Negara (Persero) for the period 2012-2019. The second is the suspect on behalf of YA (Yunan Anwar), he is the director of PT Pelangi Putra Mandiri, “said Hari.
He explained the background behind the case. Initially in 2014, PT Pelangi Putra Mandiri applied for credit from BTN worth Rp. 117 billion. In fact, according to Hari, the credit was problematic or had already experienced a collectability of 5, aka bad.
“It turns out that it is suspected that in the provision of the credit facility, there was an allegation of gratuities or gifts to the suspect on behalf of HM, which was carried out by YA amounting to Rp 2.257 billion. You do this by transferring the money through the suspect HM’s son-in-law’s account,” said Hari.
“Then, secondly, the suspect HM in 2013 as the president director also agreed to provide credit to PT Titanium Properti worth Rp. 160 billion. And it is suspected that in providing the credit facility, PT Titanium Properti gave money or gratuities of Rp. 870 million. in the same way, it is transferred to the account of his son-in-law in the name of the suspect HM, “he continued.
Hari then explained, for HM, the suspicion article is Article 12 letter a or letter b or article 5 paragraph 2 jo paragraph 1 letter a or b, or Article 11 of Law Number 31/1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
Meanwhile, the suspect YES, it is suspected that article 5 paragraph 1 letter a or letter or article 13 of Law Number 31/1999 as amended by Law Number 20 Year 2001 concerning Corruption Eradication.
“On this very day, investigators will carry out the detention of the two suspects which will be carried out at the Guntur detention center. So, today, the detention center is detained. I think that’s what we can convey,” said Hari.
