Snow Man’s Journey to Becoming the Best in Japan at Double Dutch: A Real Documentary

On September 15th, “Sore Snow Man ni Yamasete SP” (TBS) will air a real documentary about Snow Man participating in the official Double Dutch tournament.

This broadcast will be a 2-hour special, and the studio guest will be Fumi Nikaido, who is appearing in the Sunday theater “VIVANT”, on drums, and he will say, “Please let me challenge Snow Man,” and show Snow Man seriously aiming to become the best in Japan. The documentary “Please let me become the best in Japan with Double Dutch” will be broadcast.

“Let me be the best in Japan at double dutch” is a project in which participants aim to become the best in Japan at “double dutch,” a rope jump that uses two ropes and incorporates dance and acrobatics. A close look at the four months in which Snow Man, a beginner at Double Dutch, overcame numerous troubles and took on the challenge seriously.

Snow Man will be participating in the regional qualifying rounds of the historic Official Double Dutch Tournament, where about 90 teams ranging from elementary school students to adults gather. If you advance through these regional qualifiers, you will gain the right to participate in the national tournament, so winning in the regional qualifiers is an absolute prerequisite for aiming to be number one in Japan. The event finally began under the watchful eye of his REG☆STYLE member, a professional double Dutch team with three consecutive world championships, who had supported the beginner members for four months. They formed a circle with REG☆STYLE and headed to the venue, where they performed the culmination of four months in front of an audience of over 1,000 people. There is also a scene where Snow Man has tears in his eyes after the tournament.

Also, in “Let me try to become Snow Man”, Meguro Ren, who says, “If I wasn’t an idol, I would have dreamed of being a fisherman,” becomes an apprentice to a fishing family in Iwate Prefecture. She takes on the challenge of fishing for the “mysterious giant fish” that lurks in the waters of Sanriku, Tohoku.
