The Big Apple and Long Island, as well as Jersey City could have between one and two inches of snow as part of the effects of a storm that will be intense in upstate New York and at least six other states.
Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia are the most affected entities with accumulations of between three and six inches.
In other states, such as Kentucky, Missouri, New Jersey, Maryland there will be a combination of rain and snow or just snow, but conditions can change. The maximum expected is between one and two inches, AccuWeather said.
Now, although snow is expected in the Big Apple that may change, as had already been anticipated on the “surprising” behavior of the weather.
AccuWeather meteorologist Tom Kines indicated that this weather holds for Sunday and Monday at least.
With temperatures hovering around freezing in the morning, snow that hits the ground is likely to disappear quickly.
Both Sunday and Monday snow flurries can be early in the morning and its accumulation will be insufficient to stay on the ground, as temperatures will drop near 30 degrees Fahrenheit, but they will rise to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
