TEXAS – The million dollar question for Texas meteorologists is this. Will or will snow fall in different parts of the state over Valentine’s Day weekend?
The general answer that has been felt is that yes there is a very good chance that Cupid will have to go out with his scarf to shoot his love arrows, but it is still too early to be able to guarantee it, according to ABC 13.
The likelihood of snow is most likely in North Texas where a cold front from the west is currently hitting the Amarillo, Lubbock area and parts of the Dallas, Arlington and Fort Worth area. That cold front will remain in the area for several days and with another front approaching next week it is almost certain that snow will be present for Valentine’s Day.
In the southeast of Texas, the chances of snow are not so overwhelming, yet it will be necessary to continue observing with what force that cold front arrives next week and if its power will be enough to generate the conditions in the atmosphere that turn drizzle into snow for the next Friday.
So areas like Houston, Austin and San Antonio will have a lot of cold and rain next week, but if there will be snow on their Love and Friendship Day that remains to be seen.
