SAN ANTONIO, Texas.- The National Weather Service (NWS) extended the potential snow advisory for northern Bexar County from 1pm until 7pm.

The rain and snow line that moved into Kerrville and south of Austin in the early hours of the morning will move slowly southeast and could leave sleet in northern Bexar County.

The winter weather advisory is also in effect for Kerr, Kendall, Gillespie, Blanco, Hays, Comal, Guadalupe, Caldwell and Bastrop counties, where about two inches of snow or more accumulation is expected in isolated areas.

The NWS warned of the dangers of highway travel under winter conditions in the state and parts of the Hill Country and central Texas. He stressed that the danger can be even greater on bridges and overpasses in warning zones.
