To snow it started covering Al-Jabal and Alkan mountains in Tabuk province which is located in northwestern Saudi Arabia. Residents immediately flooded the place to camp.
Reported Arab news, Tuesday (27/12/2022), even residents are still waiting for an increase in snowfall which is expected to occur in the next few days. Tourists wait for the rain to snow for camping in Tabuk snow area.
Tourists will camp before the snow picks up. A Saudi photographer, Fahd Al-Tarfawi, said he deliberately came to the snowy area to document the snowfall.
Also, tour guide Ahmed Al-Omrani said it started snowing on Sunday morning. He said the snow hadn’t reached its usual level yet.
He said snow covers the Alkan region and Jabal Al-Lawz region at certain times of the year. He also said that taking photos is only allowed in Alkan because there is a major NEOM tourism development there.
Al-Omrani said many Europeans have chosen the area for tourism. He also said that visitors also camped there before the snowfall announced by the weather report.
