Weather: Snow, a lot has already fallen, now a lot will fall! The expected accumulations and the zones
More snow arriving in the AlpsThe Snow is back to whitewash many areas up to very low altitudes in the areas of North-West Italy, but also in the rest of the Alps, albeit at slightly higher altitudes. Confirmation has just arrived with the latest weather updates which have in fact opened the doors to the first winter-like worsening over a large part of Italy.

Sunday the snowfalls have whitened our Alps. The ski resorts of Arabba (BL), Ortisei (BZ), Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL) and the entire ski area Dolomiti Superski they filled up with snow, with at least 20cm of fresh snow.
Between the evening and the day of Monday 5 December a new perturbation will bring back the snowfall up to above 800-900 meters in Piedmont, Val d’Aosta and then Lombardy, in extension to the rest of the Alps.
Excellent news for all lovers of winter sports and the environment in general in view of the imminent ski season. But great news especially for our thirsty territories, after the absolutely dry months of the past.
