A woman has sued the rapper after a 2013 incident in which she claims he forced her to perform oral sex on him.
Printer Rolling Stonecourt documents that were submitted to the federal court in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The website writes that the woman previously worked as a dancer for the artist, and that she has not dared to take legal action earlier because she has been afraid of her own job security.
According to court documents, the incident occurred in May 2013, after a Snoop Dogg concert in California. The woman agreed to be driven home by a friend of the artist, and then ended up in his home against her will.
The woman claims that the man sexually assaulted her before pressuring her to join Snoop Dogg’s studio where the rapper filmed the TV series “Snoop Dogg’s Double G News Network.”- with a call that a good relationship with the rapper could give her a career boost.
In the studio, the woman felt unwell and went to the toilet. Snoop Dogg came in and forced her to perform oral sex on him.
The lawsuit is filed against Snoop Dogg and his friend.
According to the court documents, the woman first tried to reach a solution with them privately in a mediation meeting held on 8 February this year, but the meeting did not lead to an agreement between the parties.
Snoop Dogg has not yet made a public statement about the lawsuit, but he posted the following on Instagram shortly after the meeting was over.:
“Gold digger season is here, be careful”.
It is not yet known how Snoop Dogg’s friend will respond to the charges.
This is not the first time Snoop Dogg has been sued for sexual assault. In 2005, another woman sued him for rape. She claimed she was gang raped two years earlier and that Snoop Dogg was among the perpetrators.
