“Snoop Dogg Joins Producer Neko Sparks’ Offer to Buy Ottawa Senators Hockey Club”

American rapper Snoop Dogg has joined producer Nek Sparks’ offer to buy the Ottawa Senators hockey club. The artist confirmed it on his Instagram account.

“Amazing what the Neko Sparks are trying to do in Ottawa and I look forward to being a part of the ownership team. I want to bring hockey to our community,” wrote Snoop Dogg on his Instagram.

The American rapper wants to join producer Neko Sparks, who according to The Athletic is interested in buying a Canadian ice hockey club. Sparks and Snoop Dogg are said to be part of a team of 12 investors who plan to buy the Ottawa Senators and are reportedly willing to offer more than $1 billion (21.5 million crowns). If they succeed, they would be the first black ownership group in the NHL.

Another interested in the Ottawa team is Ryan Reynolds and the Remington Group. They were listed as one of the favorites to win the team. A total of around twelve groups of investors are said to be interested in the club from the Canadian capital.

The Ottawa Senators did not advance to the playoffs this season, finishing eleventh in the Eastern Conference. The last time they played in the playoffs was in the 2016/2017 season, when they lost in the conference finals to Pittsburgh.

In this year’s NHL season, the Boston Bruins surprisingly finished in the first round of the playoffs:
