SNK unveiled its new Fury Legend City of the Wolves right after the finals of The King of Fighters 15 (KOF15) held at EVO2023, a fighting game competition held in Las Vegas, USA on the morning of the 7th (Korean time). SNK, which announced the development of the game for the first time last year, released a video containing illustrations of series characters such as Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, and Joe Higashi in April this year.
The newly released video showed Terry Bogard and Rock Howard’s in-game modeling and actual fighting action together. The game is produced with 3D graphics, and it is expected to draw 3D character battles along with the original side-view battle style.
Meanwhile, the official title of the game was also confirmed as Fury Legend City of the Wolves through a video on the same day. Previously, SNK announced this work as an official follow-up to the Fury Legend series ‘Garo: Mark of the Wolves’, which first appeared in 1999, and has not disclosed the official name.
Garou, which was released in 1999, showed a different character and system by dealing with 10 years later in the previous work. Here, a different atmosphere was drawn from the existing Fury Legend series. At the time, it received good reviews and the development of a sequel continued, but the project that was eventually suspended was able to continue through this work. Meanwhile, it is known that TONKO, who was in charge of various SNK game illustrations, participated in the illustration of this work.
Meanwhile, additional DLC information for KOF15 was also released on the same day. Duo Lone is the character who announced that 7 characters will be participating in the KOF15 Season 2, which will be revealed. Duo Lon is a main character in the KOF Ash arc and first appeared in KOF2003. In addition, game balance adjustments are also carried out centering on the main characters in line with the distribution of Duo Ron.
