Recently the first gameplaytrailer released the latest title from CI Games. Spectacular and gory images showed how things go like a sniper when you fire a well-aimed shot at your target. There is also a release date, only the Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 PS5 version postponed
The reason for delay is said to be related to unforeseen technical problems. At least that is what Tobias Heussner, Executive Producer CI Games, indicates. The intention was of course to launch the game on the same date for all platforms, but technical problems threw a spanner in the works. This is specifically the PlayStation 5 version with which the problems play. Unfortunately, CI Games doesn’t go into the details and we have to believe them on their blue eyes that they are actually dealing with issues on Sony’s latest console. They have also indicated that they are working with a fully experienced professional team to tackle the problems as quickly as possible so that the release of the PS5 version does not have to be delayed.
“We could not have foreseen these issues. However, we would like to assure our players that our highly experienced, professional and dedicated team are working hard with the platform holder and engine provider to resolve the problems as soon as feasibly possible, to ensure we can bring the PS5 community the high calibre sniping game they have been waiting for. We will offer a free digital upgrade to the PS5 version with all physical and digital purchases of the PS4 release.” – Tobias Heussner, EP, CI Games
To accommodate the PlayStation 5 owners, they have indicated that they can purchase the PS4 version and that when the PS5 version is released, they will be able to upgrade the game for free.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will be in shops June 4 for Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The suggested retail price of the game is € 39.99.
