Rebellion will release Sniper Elite VR on July 8 for various VR headsets. It is one of the games Sony showed as part of its PlayStation VR showcase. It also presented a new game and showed more of previous announcements.
Sniper Elite VR will have a standalone story set in World War II. The game is designed from the ground up for virtual reality and works with Sony’s PlayStation VR Aim Controller, or with Sony’s PS Move controllers. The game is coming also to the Oculus Quest and Rift and Steam VR.

Sony also presents Wanderer, a new VR adventure game set in an alternate timeline. In it, nature has taken over everything and ‘the world is turned upside down’. The game is made by New Zealand indie studios M Theory and Oddboy. A release date has not yet been announced. The game is also coming to SteamVR and Oculus headsets.
Furthermore, Sony showed the first gameplay footage of VR-shooter Fracked, which should be released exclusively for the PSVR platform in the summer of this year. In addition, developer Vertigo Games, known from Arizona Sunshine, explained more about his new co-op-VR-shooter After the Fall. That game is also coming out for SteamVR and Oculus headsets.
It was also announced that Winds & Leaves will be released on July 27. In that VR game, players bring plants to life with their hands. Puzzle Bobble 3D will be released later this year for the PS4, PS5 and PSVR. Finally, Sony showed Arashi: Castles of Sin, a Ninja game for the PSVR platform.
