A photo of the car in branded disguise was published by the Carscoops.com portal – these pictures were sent by a reader who noticed a pre-production prototype in a public parking lot in the city of Etretat. At one time, the company itself published official images of cars in this disguise, but amateur shots reveal more details.
In general, the pre-production prototype is very similar to the 2022 Renault Scenic Vision concept car, but with some simplifications. For example, the headlights of a car are wider, the taillights are larger, regular mirrors are installed, and the wheels are smaller in diameter.
At the same time, the serial Scenic will receive LED optics, which was originally presented on the concept, and now has been used on the updated Clio and the flagship Rafale crossover. Also worth noting are the hidden door handles and the unusual design of the rims. Apparently, the new Scenic will be quite compact (just compare it in the photo with cars parked nearby).
If the concept car sported a sophisticated electro-hydrogen propulsion system, then the serial ScenIc E-Tech will be a conventional battery-powered electric vehicle. It is expected that two options will be offered: a single-engine 218 hp. and twin-engine 389 hp – like Renault Megane E-Tech. But more details will be revealed during the official debut, which will take place in the coming days at the IAA Mobility Show.
