SNCF: seven hours to do Paris

The arrival of the TGV in Nantes was scheduled for 7:20 p.m., after about two hours of travel. It was finally at 12:19 a.m. that the 477 passengers on TGV 8817 were able to disembark at Nantes station. A five hour delay which is the result of cascading worries.

From the start at Montparnasse station in Paris, the staff knows that the train will not arrive on time. Traffic is not only disturbed by un other train broken downbut in addition to this incident, there is trees lying on the way, just before Angers following the storms. The TGV must therefore be deflected by Rennes. This is the classic procedure, but it necessarily lengthens the journey time.

The story could have ended there, but the train is again immobilized at the level of Coueronthis time it follows a collision. The train would have struck a person or an animal. But the checks turn into a puzzle. After one hour of research, no body is not found. The TGV therefore leaves to finally arrive at the station at midnight 19.

As to passengersthey will only be partially reimbursed by the SNCF, since part of the delay cannot be attributed to it.
