The works related to the modernisation of the line between Retiers (Ille-et-Vilaine) and Châteaubriant (Loire-Atlantique), on the Rennes-Châteaubriant railway line, are approaching the agglomerated part of Martigné-Ferchaud (Ille-et-Vilaine).
Martigné-Ferchaud: level crossings closed
The three level crossings adjoining the city are closed for about three weeks at the same time. This particular situation causes disturbed traffic conditions. Deviations are put in place.
The city center and its shops remain accessible but only from the south exit of the Rennes Angers axis.
A closure for several weeks
The provisional closure dates, subject to change depending on the progress of the work, are:
- level crossing n ° 6, between rue Sainte-Anne and rue Félix-Brochet, from March 16 to April 2.
- level crossing n ° 5, between rue Courbe and route d’Eancé, from March 16 to April 2.
- level crossing n ° 4, at La Menussière, from March 16 to April 7.
Coaches still provide the Châteaubriant-Rennes connection
Pending the return to service of the SNCF line, scheduled for September 2021, the replacement bus service is still provided. The climb point is maintained at the SNCF stop (old station) until the end of May.
In the direction Châteaubriant-Retiers the departure times have been brought forward by 6 minutes. In the Retiers-Châteaubriant direction, delays of around 6 minutes can also be expected.
