SNCF: A person killed between Beaune and Chagny

UPDATED: Traffic has resumed

A personal accident occurred this Wednesday morning, around 11:05 am, on the SNCF Paris Lyon Méditerranée line, between Dijon and Chalon sur Saône and more precisely between Beaune and Chagny. The traffic of all trains was interrupted in both directions on the Paris – Mâcon line, but also on the Dijon – Nevers line, for TER and TGV, but also freight trains. The gradual resumption of traffic was expected from 1:30 p.m. It finally took place around 1 p.m. The delays taken at the end of the morning and the middle of the day were expected to be absorbed over the hours. A police investigation was opened to determine whether it was an accident or a suicide. The body of the victim was found in the town of Chagny
