SNC 2023: Heavy-duty vehicles, get out!

the 20thth edition of the National Culture Week (SNC) starts in a few days, from April 29 to May 06, 2023. On the occasion, the city of Bobo-Dioulasso will welcome many festival-goers from abroad to the city. This will further complicate traffic which is already not easy there, especially at rush hour.

To facilitate and streamline traffic in his city as much as possible during this period of the SNC, the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso, recalls the terms of decree 2018-061 / PRES / PM / MTMUSR/MATD/MSECU/MINEFID/MCIA of November 22, 2018, regulating the circulation of heavy goods vehicles in large cities.

According to this decree, “it is strictly forbidden for heavy trucks of more than ten (10) tons to circulate in the city of Bobo-Dioulasso (…) at the following times: 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. 30 minutes; 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., recalls the PDS. Which is due to strict compliance with this obligation, particularly during the SNC period, from April 29 to May 06. He invites all those who are stationed around the SNC site to immediately release the hold of the said site to facilitate traffic.

Sites have been set up on the RN8 road to Orodara, in sector 22 and sector 30 for the parking of heavy goods vehicles. Those who do not know the exact location of these sites can obtain information from the Road and Mobility Infrastructure Department (DIRMO) located at the municipal road, telephone 64 38 25 03.
