jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Qualcomm will soon announce the latest processor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ next week.
According to rumors, the launch will take place on Friday (20/5).
Citing GSM Arena, Wednesday (11/5), in addition to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, Qualcomm is also expected to launch Snapdragon 7 generation 1.
If the information is correct, then there will be a series of announcements from smartphone manufacturers confirming new devices with the latest Qualcomm processors.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ the new one (codenamed SM8475) is expected to be sourced from TSMC unlike the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which is sourced from Samsung.
The main difference between the two chipsets is in the GPU department.
That processor should get a performance boost.
CPU-wise it is expected to remain unchanged from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with one Cortex-X2 at 3 GHz, three Cortex-A710, performance units and four Cortex-A510 cores for efficiency.
