Snapdragon 8 Elite processor threatens the Galaxy S25 series with an unexpected problem!

Reports indicate that the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is expected to be used by the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 series phones, may have a problem with overheating.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite processor is the new generation of Qualcomm’s main processors, and there is a strong performance in the central processing units and graphics, but some tests showed heat problems.

The case appeared on one of the Snapdragon 8 Elite powered phones, the Realme GT7 Pro, which has already landed in the hands of Android Authority and Digital Trends reviewers.

Investigators noted that the phone ran at a high temperature during graphics performance tests, and that the device crashed even while running stress tests on the graphics processor.

According to Android Authority, the phone reached uncomfortable temperatures during the 3DMark test, and even showed overheat warnings on the screen. At a certain time, the device only allowed the user to make calls, while other functions were disabled.

Despite trying to put the performance into “Power Saving” mode and trying to run the test again, the phone could not complete the graphics processor test, because its temperature reaches 46 degrees Celsius.

On another attempt to run the 3DMark test without interruption, the results showed a clear decrease in performance after just a few minutes, although its performance was still higher than the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip at Samsung.

Nevertheless, the Realme GT7 Pro gave a good performance when running heavy games and other tasks, with a slight increase in temperature compared to other flagship phones. It is not yet clear whether the reason is due to graphics performance tests in particular or a problem with the chip itself.

However, this suggests that the Snapdragon 8 Elite may run at higher temperatures than previous processors, which may require Samsung to provide a more advanced cooling system in the Galaxy S25 series to avoid any overheating issues. to reduce

In your opinion, can Samsung solve the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor problem in the Galaxy S25 series?
