Qualcomm has just released the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 mid-to-high-end flagship mobile processor, which uses TSMC’s 4nm process technology and consists of a 2.91GHz Cortex X2 large core, three 2.49GHz Cortex A710 performance cores and four 1.80GHz Cortex A510 energy-saving Core composition; Qualcomm claims that performance is up to 50% higher than Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
50% more performance than the previous generation
Although Qualcomm did not disclose the specific model of its Adreno image processor, it revealed that the performance has been doubled, and the power efficiency in various scenarios has been improved by 13%. The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 also integrates the Snapdragon X62 5G Modem, which supports 4G/5G dual card dual standby, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connections.

Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 supports screens with the highest QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, as well as video playback in Dolby Vision, HLG and HDR10+ formats. Its built-in 18-bit triple image signal processor supports 200MP camera sensor and two lenses to record HDR video at the same time. In addition, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 also has Snapdragon Elite gaming features and Snapdragon Sound sound technology, and supports aptX lossless music streaming. Qualcomm has revealed that the first Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2-equipped phones will be released later this month, which is believed to be the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Realme GT Neo 5 SE.
