It is estimated that 5G phones powered by Snapdragon 480 will begin arriving earlier this year on devices made by Nokia, Vivo, and Oppo.
SuaraBogor.id – Processor Snapdragon 480, which is said to be used on cheap 5G cell phones, officially launched on Tuesday (5/1/2021), Qualcomm announced.
The Snapdragon 480 is equipped with the X51 modem, which offers multi-gigabit 5G speeds. According to Android Police, this modem can download applications and videos faster.
“Qualcom continues to accelerate the commercialization of 5G in the world to make 5G mobile phones more affordable. Snapdragon 480 5G will exceed consumer expectations of mid-to-high-end features in mobile phones at low prices, “said Kedar Kondap, Qualcomm’s vice president of product management in an official statement.
The Snapdragon 480 has eight cores, four of which are the performance-focused Cortex-A76 and the other four the more efficient Cortex-A55.
Combined with the Andreno 619 graphics card and built on an 8nm architecture, Snapdragon 480 is claimed to be 100 percent superior to its predecessor.
Qualcomm claims the Snapdragon 480 is the first 4-series processor that can process three photos at once, so it can capture images from three 13 MP cameras at the same time.
It is estimated that from early this year Nokia, Vivo, and Oppo will start launching cheap 5G phones using the Snapdraon 480 5g.
