Snapchat has removed one of your filters that it showed the speed at which the vehicles were moving after it was directly related to various traffic accidents. Apparently, many users were driving recklessly to make the numbers that were superimposed on the screen increase as they stepped on the accelerator and thus set some kind of record.
It was a filter that was launched in 2013 and has not been withdrawn until now despite the fact that there were already several lawsuits against the company.
Last May, a US appeals court argued that the parents of three young people who lost their lives in a Wisconsin car accident could sue Snapchat for the negligent design of that same filter. Before making the decision to permanently withdraw it, the platform made sure to hide it to prevent its use.
