Snapchat presenta Ghost Phone

Snapchat has launched Ghost Phone, the first augmented reality (AR) game on the platform, which offers an interactive experience in which players must know who a found phone belonged to.

This title introduces a new genre of narrative game and, thanks to this technology, allows to recognize surfaces, combined with the lenses of the application during game development.

concretely, Ghost Phone has been developed using Snap’s own technology: its web-first game engine, Playcanvas and Lens Studio, to take advantage of the scanning solution.

To access this game it is only necessary to search for its name in the Lens Explorer and crack the password to turn on the Phantom Phone.

Clues must then be found in both text messages and data, unlocking new camera modes to capture AR ghosts.

Snap has recalled that currently more than 200 million people use AR on the platform daily, with an average of 6,000 million daily uses.

He also highlighted that more than a quarter of a million creators have created over 2.5 million lenses that have been viewed 3.5 billion times.
