Snapchat, a popular visual messaging platform, has announced the arrival of the new ones Spectacles in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Holland and Spain, the first six markets where they will be available outside the United States.
Last month, at the annual Snap Partner Summit, Snapchat presented the fifth generation of Spectacles and the new Snap OS operating system. The following day, at Lens Fest, a group of developers, creators, and Lens enthusiasts received Spectacles and a developer program membership to start exploring the platform.
Since the launch of Spectacles, developers have already created amazing Lenses and the global AR developer community has shown great interest.
From today, even more developers will be able to apply to create and share Lenses for Spectacles. With a subscription of 110 euros per month and a 12-month commitment, developers will have access to Spectacles and the dedicated team to realize their projects.[1]
Spectacles will begin rolling out to developers in select countries in the coming weeks and will launch in additional countries markets in 2025.
