The option to remove Bitmojis from Snapchat notifications can be found in the Snapchat Settings menu.
- Open Snapchat
- Tap on your avatar to open your profile
- Select the cogwheel to open the Settings menu
- Open the Notifications tab
- Enable or disable the Bitmojis option in the notification
So far, the feature to show Bitmojis in notifications has been divisive. Bitmojis themselves are still very popular, and the most frequent Snapchat users have already personalized theirs. However, some users find that a cartoon face appears on their phone to be a bit sticky. Others just don’t like the wasted space caused by new notifications, which are a bit higher than they were before.
These concerns are quite minor, but the other main concern is not: confidentiality. Snapchat users can change their friends’ display names to whatever they want, from nicknames to animal names and everything in between. However, they cannot customize other users’ Bitmojis.
