The California firm continues to receive new features. Indeed, these are mainly aimed at content creators. In fact, the company recently announced that it would like to introduce ads on Snapchat stories for Snaps Stars.
On the one hand, the company has just launched Story Studios. This is an editing app for Snapchatters. On Thursday, February 17, 2022, the social network announced the arrival of a brand new feature that users were waiting for. This concerns the possibility of changing the name.

Here’s how to change the name
In fact, the feature will be rolled out in the iOS and Android update on February 23, 2022. Thus, the latter will allow you to finally change your nickname that dates back to years ago.
First, you need to head to the app, and follow these steps:
- You access the profile screen by tapping the Bitmoji icon. This is located in the upper right corner of the camera.
- You select settings by clicking the gear icon. It’s in the top right corner of your profile.
- You then click on the “username” under your name. Then select “change username”. It is marked in blue.
- You click on “continue in the pop-up window”. The latter indicates that the name can only be changed once a year.
- You then fill in the new nickname, continuing on next afterwards. To complete the edit, you need to log back into Snapchat.
However, the social network tries to complicate the task of adults who want to add minors as friends.
