Snapchat’s parent company, Snap Inc . (NYSE :), has partnered with the French company M6 to stream excerpts from the French television group’s shows on the Discover tab of the app, according to a Reuters report.

What’s Happened M6, also known as Metropole Television, has announced that it would post excerpts from some of its top shows under the Snapchat deal, according to information provided.

This includes cooking shows like ‘Top chef’ and ‘Meilleur pâtissier’ and the real estate show ‘Recherche Appartement ou Maison’.

Why It Matters Snap launched Discover in 2016 with eight local language partners. The new partnership with M6 would allow Snapchat to further expand its reach in France.

It was also reported Thursday that Snap and WPP Plc (NYSE: LON 🙂 have announced a global partnership to help brands deliver immersive experiences to consumers using augmented reality.

Snap price movement closed Thursday’s regular trading session up 2.9% at $ 73.87.
